Growth 101: An Attitude on Gratitude.

Growth 101: An Attitude on Gratitude.

It’s that time of the year again. Yes, the holidays always bring out the best in people (besides Boxing Day shopping). There’s a greater sense of positivity and gratitude towards each person. As well, we’re thinking of others.

The fact we’re thinking of others is an important aspect of life. It shows how appreciative you are and how much you care about them.

But it doesn’t have to be once a year, we can practice gratitude everyday. Ultimately creating a much happier and healthier mindset along the way.

As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.

– John F. Kennedy

I know I’m guilty of sometimes thinking negatively, however if you take a moment to think how grateful you are for the things in your life, it brings you to a much happier state of mind.

It doesn’t take much to be grateful, your attitude towards gratitude should be a primary thought process. By doing so, you’re in the moment and not giving a thought to anything negative. As positivity and negativity are a part of our lives, we choose how they affect us.

Happiness cannot be traveled to, owned, earned, worn or consumed. Happiness is the spiritual experience of living every minute with love, grace, and gratitude.

– Denis Waitley

Be grateful, be thankful, appreciate what you have as there was once a day when you hoped for everything you have now.

Everyone is on their own journey. Enjoy yours.

As well here is a great article from INC magazine featuring a number of famous quotes on gratitude, enjoy! Article.

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and a pleasure as always.

Growth 101: Happiness – Fear and Love

Growth 101: Happiness – Fear and Love

It’s been a couple weeks since my last post, but I really wanted to put some thought into what I was going to focus on for this one.

It really got me thinking.

What is the cost of happiness? What do we give up in order to be happy, whether it’s in our jobs or in our personal lives. What are we doing to feel ‘safe’ and ‘comfortable’?

Do we sacrifice our happiness for fear? Have we not gone for that job because you were afraid that you weren’t qualified, or not pursued that crush because you were afraid they weren’t interested. Fear is an invention within our minds.

Love and fear.

Jim Carrey, while delivering his commencement speech to the Maharishi University of Management, really hits the nail on the head regarding fear and love.

Take a quick watch, I’ve queued it up for you.

After watching that, think about it. What do you sacrifice for your happiness in life. More on that note, does fear hold you back from becoming your ultimate self?

We have the fear of not having money, fear of not being liked, fear of the unknown. However, what’s the true cost of NOT doing what we love?

c/o AZ Quotes

Fear is the ultimate killer of people’s dreams and aspirations. You have to push through it and open yourself to being in a place of uncertainty. Now, you certainly have to have a goal in mind, but in that uncertainty, you grow!

When you’re in a state of flux, continue to improve yourself each day, that brings you closer to the person you’re meant to become.

We all want the perfect career that excites us to start each day. Doing what we love ultimately fosters an inner growth that excites us for the next step in our lives.

That’s why I’ve been started to to do this. I love to write, to create, to inspire! This is a means for me to connect with like-minded people. If I can encourage someone to do something that they’ve been thinking about for a while; one of my goals is achieved.

It’s a step in the direction I want to travel in. One where I can choose how I spend my life.

Fear is only a temporary state, only you let it control you,  in-turn you have the power to choose love instead.

Love what you do, it will love you back.

Pleasure as always. Thanks for stopping by.
